Great memories from the summer are still fueling my days. What a fantastic sunmmer! My favorite times were the slow moments spent with people, often in the mornings drinking coffee or the evenings playing cards. Lots of love and big hugs to all of you back home.

Back in Kuwait I’ve been organizing our new apartment, looking at my propensities, prepping the middle school for a new school year, listening to Vile music, and wondering about future skills.
Here’s to a future we want!
We arrived in Kuwait on August 1st.
Tatiana and Gabriel exit the baggage claim at Kuwait International Airport.
Tatiana and Gabriel stayed 35 hours and then flew to Madrid and Santiago de Compostela to spend time with Tatiana’s sister and nieces while I set up our new apartment and waited for my circadian rhythms to adjust so I could start the new school year with a clear head. It took 9 days to shake of my jet lag.

I’m listening to Kurt Vile’s new album. If I were sitting on a pontoon in the middle of a lake during a slow sunset (I’m looking at you Cris, David, and Bob S.), this album would be playing.
How might I prepare to live in a future we want? As a parent I try to orient my son’s learning for well-being in his future. And as an educator I strive to prepare students for an uncertain future with rapid change. On my to read list, the OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030.
