I hope you are doing well and enjoying a beautiful Spring. Welcome, Keith!
In this issue I get to share with you our trip to India, a fruit, how I listen, a game, and how I journal.

Goa 🇮🇳
Fortunately, our stay in Goa, India from April 13-19 was near the end of the low season. The beaches and restaurants offered plenty of space to eat, drink, and relax. Many days, I lunched and napped in the same chair. (John, you would have been proud of me.) As you can see in the photo below, I passed this skill on to my son.

Goa is great! If you get a chance to visit, don’t miss it.
Níspero 🍈
I started putting níspero in my oatmeal. It’s malty flavor combined with cinnamon makes oatmeal delicious. Níspero also makes a fantastic juice. Níspero is readily available in Cartagena, where I first fell in love with it many years ago. Today I can buy it in Kuwait, because it is imported from northern India where it is known as chikoo.
Listening 👂
How might I listen thoughtfully and show that I’m trying to do that? During conversations (particularly at work) I’m saying, “Here’s what I think you want me to know about this.” I still need more experience with this reply to see if it turns out to be a conversation booster.
Civ VI 🗺️
Each day I get to build, research, and lead a civilization in the turn-based strategy game, Civilization VI. Thank you, Sam!
Journaling 📔
One of my favorite things I do for myself each morning is journaling. Currently, I use The Daily Stoic Journal. When this journal fills up next month, I’m thinking of changing my focus from general Stoic teachings to specific learning and gratitude. To do this, I’ll write about what I learned from three people the day before. And then I’ll list three things I’m grateful for. I believe the learning part will help keep learning from others on my mind and the gratitude part will help me feel happy.
